Hi Katie,
In addition, most bluetooth usb dongles look just like a little flash drive
or thumb drive. It's just a little thing which inserts in to a usb port and
extends out about 1.5 inches or so. They generally have a light or two on
them.

Actually, a dongle is an adaptor, often a USB adaptor, that extends
functionality to a device, for example a bluetooth dongle enables bluetooth
functionality to a device that doesn't support bluetooth out of the box.
They can come as USB adaptors, parallel adaptors, and, I believe, some come
in CF cards. Hope that helps.
