Can I ask. I hope to get a Braillenote MPower with my DSA grant for
university. I would like to know, in terms of battery, how much charge
the battery would have had when shipped from my local Humanware dealer?
This is so that I can determine whether I can play with it right out of
the box, or will it come completely flat such that I have to do this
noninterruptive charging? Thanks.

Malaina,
Your friend is able to recalibrate the battery as Rhonda suggested, or you
are able to have your friend discharge the battery by naturally using it.
You can have your friend just use the unit beyond the battery is low
message, beyond the battery is critical message, and all the way until the
unit shuts off, then plug in the ac adapter. This is something that is
recommended to do at least once a month. It is like excersising the battery
to make sure that it stays at its peak performance. It is also recommended
that once you run the unit completely flat to switch off the unit before
plugging in the ac adapter, then let it charge for a solid three hours
without interuptions.
I hope this information is able to help you.
