Okay, here goes my best shot. You have two separate choices. The
first, which I do not recommend, is to create a word document and translate
into Braille everytime you want to write in it by answering yes to the
review options prompt. In this case, while the file is not translated, go
to the page setup by pressing back space with p. Make sure the paper
length is 66, paper width is 85, top margin is 6, and bottom margin is 6.
Be sure to say yes if the BN asks "confirm changes?". Then go to the layout
settings by pressing backspace with l. Make sure line spacing is double,
left margin is 10, and right margin is 10. Also, if you choose to have the
BN automatically indent, change the indent paragraph settings. However, I
would recommend just using the tab instead. Make sure the tab settings only
have a number and do not say indent. If they do, change them so that they
don't. Your second option is to write it in a Braille document and set the
ink print settings. You would use the same settings, except press space
plus enter plus p for the ink print page settings and backspace plus enter
plus l for the ink print settings. Whatever you do, I recommend having a
sighted person check it before you turn it in.

Nicole

Subject: [Braillenote] formatting question
Hi list:
Here is what I'm trying to do. I want to write an essay, and I want
it to be double spaced, have one inch margins, and properly indented
paragraphs. However, I would prefer to write the document in braille
and have the formatting work/show when I would export the file as an
ms word document. How would I go about accomplishing this task?
I hope this hasn't been too confusing--I've tried to read the advanced
word processing chapter of the manual, but I seem to not be able to
grasp some of it...or most of it *smile*.
As always, I appreciate and look forward to any assistance you may
provide.
Katie
