I have been really busy and not paying close attention to this thread but I too am having some sync issues.
I think this all started with the mPower upgrade and one thing that happened is probably my own fault. I sent my 18-cell in first and when it came back I synced it with the computer and had several duplicates which I meticulously cleaned out of both the planner and address book. I sent the 32-cell, the one that I use at work the most and where I generally enter most of my addresses and appointments for its transplant and in the meantime added a couple of addresses to the 18-cell. When the 32-cell came back, I deleted all partnerships out of Active Sync, then went through all files on the BN32 to be sure I had no duplicates. Then did a sync setting up a new partnership with the BN I had been syncing with 99% of the time over the past three years. I had problems if I left the options set to ask me on the BN, it would start, then ask me a few times then lock up and I'd have to reset and start over again. Eventually I set it to keep the BN items and managed to do a sync but then I got duplicates on my addresses, and even three of each address in a few cases. The planner burped up old dates that I had erased a long time ago, for example a doctor's appointment I had deleted from January 2004! In May I had a hard disk crash and so I restored the address book and planner from the BN 32, to outlook 2003 and again addresses multiplied, planner dates I know I'd deleted reappeared. I spent one whole afternoon and evening after that working on the BN side deleting duplicates, old dates, deleting any backups, and eventually I got the planner to not duplicate or make old deleted items reappear but the address book is still not allowing me to set the BN to ask me before making a change, when I do it asked for a few addresses, then the unit locks up and I have to reset and restart the synchronization all over again with the same result. If I tell it to keep the BN items, it will work. I am afraid to let the 18-cell near the sync cable. Specifics, now Outlook 2003, Windows XP Pro, Active Sync from the HumanWare site, I cannot remember its number, and using USB cable. The computer is a 2 gigahertz machine so it isn't slow. Its as if the BN doesn't realize I have done a reset and starts over in syncing my planner and contacts. I usually solve the problem by deleting my planner and contacts from Outlook then syncing over again.
