Les;
It would be less costly to put it on the internet site and the deaf
could Braille it or read it with their Braille displays. This also
gives people, like me, with other problems the ability to have access to
the text format.

Hi Jonathan,

While I enjoy being able to listen to the tutorials and enjoy reading
the
manual in braille on-board the unit, as a long-time braille user, if
having
a choice, when reading braille, hard copy is still the most preferred
method. Would it be possible to publish the tutorial in braille for
deaf/blind individuals? I assume there would need to be a way of
verifying
that someone is deaf/blind, because I would imagine others might request
this, and that could get costly. I would hope there would be an
equitable
method for dealing with this potential problem. Providing hard copy
braille, I would think would provide equal access to information for a
deaf/blind individual.

Hi Stacey, thanks for that, however Rhonda's point is in my view a very
fair
one. What I have been doing is publishing the audio tutorials as soon as
possible, so people can get a feel for the forthcoming release.
However, this goes into far more detail than the announcements about the
next release that we publish, and therefore it disadvantages people who
can't hear the tutorial. The information is contained in he User Guide,
but
of course it's generally not ready for publication when I have been
putting
up the audio. That is inequitable, and some way or other, we will have
to
correct that for the future so that the publication of the audio
tutorial is
synchronised with when we can publish detailed information about how to
use
the new features in text form.

Once we do this, then the information one has access to in text is
equivalent to the information one has access to in the audio tutorial.

Hi Jonathan,
Please continue to publish the tutorials the way you have been
publishing them. I enjoy listening to them before upgrades come
out.
