Marlaina,
I don't see that you have had a response yet to this but, being in the UK,
forgive me if you see many others and I just crash in with another!
There are four round buttons on the front of the PK, two on the left front
and two on the right. The far right button, pressed once and held for a
second or two, turns on/off the unit. The round circular inset buttons are
C1-C4 respectively, but they're not all used at this time. If you have
speech enabled, you will hear a beep as the PK is switched off. If speech
is disabled, you do hear just a tiny noise as you release your fingers when
turning off. (I usually put my left hand down to the Braille to see it
disappearing.)
Chapter 1 of the manual describes the buttons/resets etc.
The main problem you'll probably have at the beginning is positioning your
fingers because you're used to the mPower. With a bit of practice you'll
find you can just "go for it"! Just past the C1-2 you have a left spacebar,
there's then a solid middle piece which houses a joy stick at thumb level,
then you have another spacebar, then C3-4. To position fingers correctly,
aim for ythe index fingers to be on dots 1 and 4, which then leaves a space
in the middle, where these two fingers could touch, just underneath the
round speaker.
Hope this is enough. Come back, privately if you wish, if I can help
further.

Subject: [Braillenote] help with learning a little about the pk
Hi list. I am trying to help someone learn how to use the pk. I briefly
read a tad of the manual that came with it. I was wondering though if
someone could tell me how to turn the unit on. I was oonly able to get as
fars as the joystick and router keys. I don't think it will be hard for
me to learn so I can show her but we aren't sure how to turn it on.
Thanks,
Malaina
