I do not know if you are talking about me, but I assume so since I mentioned
reducing devices. I know that no one device can replace everything, but we
can get as close as possible. Even if the device uses peripherals instead of
full-fledged devices (such as connecting a cell phone or bar code scanner to
a BN).
I know where you are coming from as far as losing the device--chancing
another person finding personal information and putting "all your eggs in
one basket", but I think it is worth it. Only another BN can open database
files and files created as native KeyWord formats, so that does not concern
me much.
The more I think about what you are saying, I think you are trying to say
("you carry what you need to carry with you") is that carrying a BN is not
sensible when you could just toss a cell phone in your pocket, but I am one
of those who takes my BN EVERYWHERE. From Wal-Mart to a friend's house two
streets away, my BNMP is with me. Because of this, I often find many things
I wish I had, such as that USB cell phone package. I am probably in a
minority as far as my near obsession with my mPower, but I do not have a
separate MP3 player, notetaker, calculator, and so on, so it is everything.
There, I guess I am done. If you were referring to someone else, pretend
this message never existed. <smile> BTW, I am not trying to debate anything,
just explaining why I wrote the thing about replacing multiple devices.

I have to disagree with you on that one. What happens if your device gets
lost or stolen? Can you say identity theft big time in that case? I sure
can.
You carry what you need to carry with you. You will never eliminate the
need for separate devices for various things. There is just no way to do
that because there is only so much you can cram into one device. Get
real.
