I know that Verizon Wireless has a service called VZ Navigator, which combines info from GPS satellites and ground based transmitters into a navigation service. It is only compatible with certain phones, usually the more expensive ones. From what I can tell, it is not accessible for blind persons. I have read discussion of something called Wayfinder, that works on the Nokia phones from Cingular, and supposedly will work with the talking screen readers for those phones. I believe that Nextel also has a navigation system, but do not know anything about accessibility.
