Subject: [Braillenote] Email from Philip Rance

I got an email from Philip Rance, President and CEO of Humanware, about the
changes that are taking place at the company and about how they are trying
to be more responsive to customers' needs. That email contained the
following strangely worded and very interesting paragraph.

"Although some of these changes may impact individuals there remains a
dedicated team of developers who are now listening to all of our customers
rather than the personal desires of any individual. This will result in
future products addressing the needs of the market rather than the whims of
an individual."

Which individual's whims, I wonder? Which whims, for that matter. This
sounds like the kind of damage control statement that actually makes the
situation worse instead of making it better. Gotta wonder who is being
referred to.

I can't imagine this having anything to do with Jonathan. Sure hope not.

By the way, one positive change in the US is that tech support staff is
being doubled and the calls will be toll-free. I really hope the changes
end up being positive for us because we all love our BN.
