Hi list and Malaina,
I actually received my karaoke files from my dad, who lives back in hungary.
He has about 1900 (only hungarian) kar files. if you rename .kar to .mid, it
should be able to read it.
One issue though is, that the bn can not fast forward in mid files ; if you
press a cursor button, it jumps to that position but the track restarts
which is weird. On a pc, you can seak easily in a midi file. But midis can't
contain audio, so it's kind of useless to fast forward in you're favorite
song.
I just transferred about 400 midi files to a cf card and it works great.
However, you should not place more then 200 songs in one folder because this
can cause the bn to take a long time to retrieve all the files. I put the
files in 2 seperate folders which made things easier.
Regards:
Tomi

player
hi people,
Just so everyone knows, the m-power notetaker can play midi files
(.mid files). This is strange because it is not in the supported file
formats of the help / user guide. The media player is probably one of the
best things in the bn since it's like a mini ipod if you insert a 2 gig cf
card. aspecially if you have midi files, 1000 karaoke files can fit on
about 70 mb of cf card space. Great.
Best regards:
Tomi
