Jane,

I find your use of the term "sighties" in this thread really
inappropriate. We are no better or no less than our sighted peers. If
we do not want to be stereotyped, then we should not stereotype others.

Jane. It's never the end of the world. But are there any blind folks
currently working in a marketing or development capacity at HW?
Dean worked in development and Jonathan worked in Marketing and sales.
Dr. Russel smith Truly had a vision for what the braille note should
become.
He is no longer with us either.
If HW is smart, they will replace these people with competent blind
folks.
If they don't, they won't really have a grasp on what the blind
community
needs.
And the braille note may, and note I said may, diminish into obscurity
like
its predecessors.
There aren't too many Dean Blazie's or Russel Smith's around these days.

What a bunch of sighties we have become! Here's this blind guy, and we
all
know how he needs to run his life better than he does!

Shocking!

Lighten up, folks. This is not the end of the world.

Jane
