Hi Mary Ellen,
Actually, it doesn't do it automatically, in spite of the manual.
Make sure Keysync is running,
Then, on the PK, go to the utilities menu,
Hit s, for the synchronization menu.
Then, if you haven't, hit o for the synchronization options.
You have several things to choose from there on how you want the
BrailleNote and Outlook to sync.
Now, to the active sync side.
When you plugged in the usb cable, did Activesync load?
If it did, and you weren't prompted for a partnership, it should mean
there is already a partnership set up.
If that is the case, on the braillenote utilities menu hit s for the
sync menu and s to start it synchronizing.
If you have more than one profile in Outlook, the computer will
prompt you to choose a profile.
If active sync did not load when you plugged in the cable, Do a c1c4
re-set while the PK is plugged into the computer via usb.
Then, active sync should see it.
Once you re-establish a partnership, then do the stuff in the
utilities menu to get it syncing.
That all could have been said more clearly, but I am just about to
shut down the computer.
Good luck,
Richard

Hi folks!
I am trying to connect to active sync with the pk in order to update
the contacts on the pk and am having no luck. I am doing this via
USB just because I had success last summer with that type of
connection. The manual says it should do this automatically which it
doesn't seem to be. Also wouldn't I get a question about
partnerships or don't they do that any longer. I have no idea what I
am doing with this which is probably why I don't use active sync that much.
But I really would like to update these contacts since nothing has
been done at them for over a year.
Any help would be appreciated and in the meantime, I'll go back an
reread the manual.
Thanks for reading.
