Well, I just tried with two different USB cables and had no luck connecting my PK and PC via ActiveSync. I kept getting the message on the PC about the USB device not being recognized. I had gone in on the PK and made sure the ActiveSync connection type was set to USB, and I had gone to ActiveSync on the PC and checked the box to allow USB connections. Truthfully, seeing as I've had so much bad luck connecting via USB, I mainly use ActiveSync via Bluetooth now, anyway, but thought I would give it a try again with KeySoft 7.2. I even upgraded to ActiveSync 4.2, but that didn't make any difference in connecting via USB. I would try with my mPower as well, but I sent it off to Concord this morning to hopefully get that battery issue fixed. And, oh, yes, seeing as I just read the rest of the messages regarding this topic; no, seeing as the Bluetooth ActiveSync was already working just fine, I didn't try the c1/c4 reset. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mary Ellen Earls" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Braillenote List" <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, September 09, 2006 6:40 PM Subject: [Braillenote] active sync and keysync situation:
Hi folks! I am trying to connect to active sync with the pk in order to update the contacts on the pk and am having no luck. I am doing this via USB just because I had success last summer with that type of connection. The manual says it should do this automatically which it doesn't seem to be. Also wouldn't I get a question about partnerships or don't they do that any longer. I have no idea what I am doing with this which is probably why I don't use active sync that much. But I really would like to update these contacts since nothing has been done at them for over a year. Any help would be appreciated and in the meantime, I'll go back an reread the manual.
