Because PDA's are embeded systems, there is no way of incorporating cooling
fans. There is a way to check the battery temperature on the mPower: between
the USB client port and the CF slot, you'll notice that there is a space.
Behind this is the actual battery compartment. When the battery does not
charge as expected, check this space. You'll notice that it is very warm.
Disconnect the charger for about 3 to 5 mintues and reconnect it. It should
start charging from where it left off. mPowers and Classics have a design
where the battery compartment will shutdown when the temperature exceeds
certain temperature. If this happens, the battery will not charge.
Disconnect the power adapter and reconnect it once the case is cooled
somewhat.

hi listers joseph I think another issue is how conponents function after
they get warm and  begin to age.  Lap tops have fans, but these note takers
have no good way to stay cool.  How about a carbon processor  and so on for
other components.  My wifi card goes off and on when warm.  best regards
