Hi,

From testing I did privately here, the usual cause of this is an issue with
the SD card.

Please check that your SD card is no larger than 512 MB and no smaller than 64 MB. A good website in the UK for buying SD cards is
www.mymemory.co.uk
or you might try
www.play.com

Next, ensure your SD card is formatted correctly. If it is, reformat it in the BrailleNote Mpower anyway just to be sure. I formatted my own card correctly in the PC but it still needed the BN's reformat for the upgrade to work.

You might also want to check that there are no extranious files on the SD card. The card should have a maximum of three files, named
nk.bin
*instructions*.txt
and
*upgrade*key*.exe

If all of this is correct, contact HumanWare.

HTH,
Matthew

Subject: [Braillenote] Installing 7.2 situation

Aloha,
I was able to install my product key fine. Now when I hold down dots 4 and 5, press the reset button and then let up the 4 and 5 when I hear a sound, nothing happens. I have checked to be sure the correct file is on the SD card. The AC adapter is plugged in. The only way to get the unit to work again is to reset using the record and reset button convination.
Thoughts?
TIA, Betsy
