Control plus 8 is not a new command I used it in 7.0. It is just
a way to get rid of a message one at a time or say if you want to
keep a message then decide you don't want it you can just hit
control 8 with out opening it back up and delete it rigt away
with out going to action menu or reading it.

Personally, I don't understand why you would need Ctrl + 8, if
it is not something that frees space.
When finihed with a message in E-Mail, I either delete it or
answer "Trash" when asked to which folder I want to move it.
When I'm ready to clean house, I use e s f, and the datebase
is freed of trash.
(Maybe I said the same thing you did. Howevr, at the moment,
when I key Ctrol +8, it doesn't do trash. Just remember, I'
still using KS7.01.)
