Hi Graham,
That is what I suspected, but since I don't use the CD player, I just passed along his comments.
I thought they were supposed to pick up where you left off.
I also suspect the BrailleNotes will do that once they get the bugs sorted out. At least, I hope so.

No, Richard, I think your friend is mistaken. Here in Canada we have
used the Victor DAISY players for the last 4 or 5 years, and I have
personally read all my audiobooks on it. It remembers the place where
you stopped reading and resumes there when you start again. It does
this even if you remove the CD and put another in for awhile. When
you put the first CD back in the machine, it resumes playing where you
stopped. This is normal behaviour for all Victor players and for the
PlexTalk DAISY player. I have not tested it with a recorded DAISY
book on the mPower running 7.2.

Hi,
A friend who uses the Victor Reader CD player says that this is
standard Daisy behavior. So, put a place marker when you stop
reading, then exit the book. Then, jump to that place marker when
you get back to the book.
This is not consistent behavior though. I had one book on the PK
that would start up where I left off in Daisy. But, most of the
books I've tested have jumped back to the beginning. At least the
place marker system works.
