Hi Rhonda - thanks for your help on this - I seem to be able to connect to the router successfully but when I to use the browser I get message something like "page not available etc etc - the sit may be down etc. etc. I've tried many sites and all give this response and as I also have checked with my desktop I know the sites are available - also when entering email I get an error message - my accounts work on dial-up and they have worked through the USB connection to a desktop.

Charlie, can you access the internet, or are you not getting that far? I would try just for giggles, since nothing else is working, on your Connectivity side, change "shared authentication to no", and see what happens. Your router has an antenna, right? I know, silly question. I grasp now and then, just to get a feel for things.
