Just what I want to do on a Saturday (smile) - the card is the recommended Ambicom card that fits in the compact flash slot - it recognizes the card okay - it tells me I have successfully joined the network when I try - indicating that I have an IP address - I am just blocked from web-browser and email (which is of course all I want to do).

Anyway its too nice today I'm going to have to leave it for now - many thanks for your help Rhonda.

Regards,
Charlie.

So, dial up works on the mPower. Are you using a secure connection, and I think I already asked about the WEP key. When you put your wireless card in, does it say "network card ready". I know you've done all of this. Have you tried using both slots in your machine? It sure makes you work hard, doesn't it? (Smile).

So, to make sure your mPower QT is working as it should, have
you tried
setting a dial up connection for it? I'm thinking about all of
your
settings.

Hi Rhonda - thanks for your help on this - I seem to be able to
connect to
the router successfully but when I to use the browser I get
message
something like "page not available etc etc - the sit may be down
etc. etc.
I've tried many sites and all give this response and as I also
have checked
with my desktop I know the sites are available - also when
entering email I
get an error message - my accounts work on dial-up and they have
worked
through the USB connection to a desktop.

Regards,
Charlie

Charlie, can you access the internet, or are you not getting
that far? I
would try just for giggles, since nothing else is working, on
your
Connectivity side, change "shared authentication to no", and see
what
happens. Your router has an antenna, right? I know, silly
question. I
grasp now and then, just to get a feel for things.
