OK I also found this a little disconcerting as well. Lets think of it this
way. With your trade in they are willing to sell you a 2500 dollar note
taker for 700 dollars? How inexspensive is this technology we buy that they
can do that and still make a profit? Might make more sense in the auto
industry because there is some brand loyalty there so getting someone to
change brands may promote future sales but how many people have bough
multiple note takers from the same company simply out of brand loyalty?

Have you  ever heardof  Ford offering to give you a new  car  for trading in

It prompts me to ask what they are  going to  give you and   why?
