Andy, Is w switch for deep discharge? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of andy riden Sent: Wednesday, September 27, 2006 4:24 PM To: Braillenote List Subject: [Braillenote] battery recalibration
Hi Claude, Are you using D for deep discharge? That's more intended for testing batteries than recalibrating them - it discharges the battery to 6V instead of 6.5 Volts. I'd use the F option which creates a log on your Flash Disk that you could send to me if it's not behaving. You can also recalibrate the battery by simply using the unit unplugged until you get a battery critical message, and then plugging it back in until it recharges fully. If it doesn't calibrate after either of those, there may be a problem with the battery, and it might need servicing. Let me know if you need more information. regards, Andy. ---- Andrew Riden Software Development Engineer HumanWare Ltd. 11 Mary Muller Drive, Christchurch, New Zealand.
