Hello Andy: I had recalibrated my battery (as requested by the software) and
after 2 cycles it reported that it could not recalibrate the battery - the
message I get now is "the battery gauge needs recalibrating and is not
accurate enough to give an accurate enought to give a percent reading" This
is after I upgraded to 7.2 (mpower). Tech support in Quebec says there is a
fix on the way and they will call me when they get it - is there a fix on
the way or should my machine be sent in for service?
Many thanks.
Charlie.

Subject: [Braillenote] battery recalibration
Hi Claude,
Are you using D for deep discharge? That's more intended for
testing batteries than recalibrating them - it discharges the battery
to 6V instead of 6.5 Volts. I'd use the F option which creates a log
on your Flash Disk that you could send to me if it's not behaving.
You can also recalibrate the battery by simply using the unit
unplugged until you get a battery critical message, and then plugging
it back in until it recharges fully.
If it doesn't calibrate after either of those, there may be a problem
with the battery, and it might need servicing. Let me know if you
need more information.
regards,
Andy.
