That's not always true. The Walmart in Mineral Wells sells CF
cards but doesn't have a clue what PCMCIA adapters are.

The classic can use wireless, if you put a wireless card in the
CF
card slot. The mPower has built-in bluetooth hardware so you
can use
that with no extra cards. You still need a wireless card to do
Wi-Fi,
or 802.11b or whatever it's called.
