hello,

I think humanware should provide with every perchased unit a certificate to show when your flying abroad and so your unit doesn't get scanned. And when your accessing the wireless connection at the airport do you not need some kind of code?

Hello List,

I've flown many times and used seven different air carriers, depending on which offered the est deal. However, on this recent trip I used Hawaiian airlines for the first time. Until this trip, I never had a problem with them scanning my BN. I always explain it is a braille PDA and very sensitive. Unfortunately, this time, they didn't buy it, going so far as to take the BN out of the case. The person whit whom I was traveding told me what was goig on and tried to ward off a disaster. (I lived in mortal dread that they would try to take ther M-Power apart!)

It has occurred to me that it might be possible for HW to give those of us who fly often, some kind of certificate, which swould exempt the Bn from scanning. (I usually take my Cochlear Implants off when going through security. When I don't, it sets off the alarm! I've been told that the scanning process can destroy the CI Programs. I've also been told to ask the Security folks not to scan my Bn. However, that suggestion came from a person who does Tech Support for a State Agency, not a HW employee..
