Hi David:

I'll give you my best efforts here. If you sell your machine for $2000, and someone wants to transplant it, they will be paying almost the price of a new one. A new one is about $4395. That also comes with a one-year warrantee. Maybe you would get $1500. It also depends on how much of the original equipment you still have, such as cables, manuals, things like that. Good luck to you.

Subject: [Braillenote] Some Information Here

Dear List,
I think it's been pretty much decided between myself and my
mother that we'r going to get a brand new bt 18 unit. But before we proceed any further, we were thinking about selling the old braille notes we had. The thing is, my sister and I both have braille note bt classics running keysoft 6.11 with the old style braille display. Rehab will most likely pay for a new notetaker for my sister when she goes off to college next year. I have already estimated that we'll probably get at least $1500 to $2000 from each unit. The question is this: What kind of person or organization would be interested in these braille notes? I know that more and more people are getting mpowers, but there must be someone or some organization out there that might buy it. Any response would be greatly appreciated.
David
