I'll probably drop an email to the person you named. I do have a few specific ideas for apps. Some of my ideas might be also in the minds of others, but I'm open to competition :) I'm considering some more "real" games (not that Inform is bad, but I'm thinking things like card games and such), as well as some Internet connectivity apps - an IRC chat program would really make me drool. I have actually coded an IRC client for blind people - technically two, since I wrote one, then abandoned it for a second project - so I understand the IRC protocol inside and out. Along with this I'm thinking some simple apps like a unit converter and maybe a basic check register with embossing capabilities. I actually did an experiment or two writing some very basic apps in Inform and compiling them to Z-code - and it works for simple stuff like calculations and so on - but it obviously won't come anywhere near supporting complex apps like an IRC client or a checkbook. A card game might be possible in Inform - it's one of my current test projects. (Although I have to first figure out what happened to my presently dead BN.)

Ottawa Canada Dear Flint: Welcome to the list from Ottawa in Canada. Well since you have read the list archives, you know Humanware has not released an SDK for third-party developers for the BrailleNote/VoiceNote family of products. For lack of anyone better to contact, I recommend you write to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] He is the group president and if anyone can persuade Humanware to release the SDK, it would be him. Do you have specific programs you would like to write for the BrailleNote, or is it just a general interest at this time? Brian -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
