You know, when you say that I should be grateful, what you sound like is
that I should be trembling with joy because the sighted have done
something wonderful for me.
Humanware is making good money, and if there weren't any blind people,
they wouldn't have a product to sell.
I am glad that we have assistive technology, I use it each and every
day, but let us not forget that in some instances, creating such
technology is a profitable venture.
I believe the mPower is a good product. I also believe that some
individuals are experiencing problems with the unit, and I can say that
I have found legitimate bugs in 7.2.
My concern is that sometimes companies would rather be seen offering
new and exciting features rather than engaging in the mundane area of
fixing bugs.
I don't even feel that 7.2 is that bad, what I do think is terrible is
how HumanWare deals with repair issues.

I agree. We should be grateful that we have this kind of
advanced and accessible technology to use. I know I am. For a
long time last year I had to use a regular Perkins brailler
because my house burned down and my BN was in it, and I know the
people that are complaining would rather have their BNS then
carry around a brailler. It gives us so much easy access to
things that we didn't have before.
