Stacey actually there is an overwrite mode. Just go to any character you want to overwrite and press dots 2-4-6 cord and put the character you want or need to put. Well write back.

No, there's no option for that.  I would like to see an option
for an append mode in a future release because it doesn't have
that.  YOu get used to insert after a while.
