another thing Richard and list. I am not hearing any beep when bn is trying to look for devices but that is perhaps speech is off. When I try to use bn as terminal for screen reader it says there are no devices that are active and paired.

If you have turned bluetooth on from utilities, and gone to miscellaneous, go back to main menu.

Go to the Connectivity Menu, and press B for bluetooth. You should be asked if bluetooth is on. You'll want to press Y. Press Enter. You'll see something like "check for devices?" Press Y. You should hear several beeps while it is searching for your device. When the search is complete, you should see something like "List of Bluetooth devices." You should be able to space down to your device. You should see a "paired and active" prompt.
