Hi Terry,
Usually the computer with braille translation program or the BN governs how
the embosser will emboss your document. What I said had to do more with how
the BN does things when
it is being used to emboss a document. If your braille translation program
isn't set up properly, this will govern how well or poorly the document was
embossed. You would need to speak to someone who uses the braille
translation program that you are about to use. I'll do all I can to help
you with the BN though!

James;
I am going to be learning how to use an embosser from a computer and
maybe later from the M-power. Does this apply to a computer also?

Thing
Hello!
This happens within Keyword. Once your first six pages are completed,
and
if you have further returns which take you to a new page, you will end
up
with a blank page with page seven at the upper right hand corner.
Before
you ready your document for embossing, check the line spacing at the end
of
a document. Make certain there are no more than two returns at the end
of
the document. If there are more than that, you could end up with the
new
page with the seven at the upper right hand corner. I found that
embossing
more than one copy at a time with the BN created more trouble than it
was
worth. Sometimes the paper wouldn't feed right after the second and
third
copies. I recommend you do one at a time and they will be correct
without
unforeseen
trouble.
This is my take on it, I'm simply saying this is a common problem which
has
been around for some time.

Subject: [Braillenote] Embossing BN file on Blazer Serial Port Odd Thing
Hi All,
I am embossing a six-page document that has been formatted as a brf
document using the Blazer connected to the BN by means of the serial
port.
The document is complete with page numbers and appropriate spacing.
Here
are my steps:
1. Insert paper in Blazer with paper positioned ready to go.
2. Turn off blazer.
3. Find the file on the BN, open it and close it.
4. Choose emboss at the Keyword options menu.
5. Turn on Blazer
6. Choose "y" to emboss a single copy.
7. Repeat steps 4-6 to emboss a second copy of the document.
Here comes the mistery! If I either choose to emboss one copy and
then
immediately emboss a second copy, or I choose to emboss two or 3
copies at
once, there appears a "7" at the top right corner of the first page of
the
second document and third document. I have not chosen to emboss more
than
3 copies without turning off the Blazer, but I will now assume that a
"7"
would appear at the top, right corner of each copy after the first
copy.
From then on there are no page numbers except for those that are
embedded
in the document already. I have checked the Layout list on the BN and
"Page Numbering" is set to "No."
I can keep this from happening if I turn the blazer off and then on
again
after embossing a single copy of the document.
I have seen a serial port connection put extra dots at the top of a
document if its buffer is not emptied before starting embossing. That
is
why I turn it off. However, it seems "smart" to put a "7" after page
"6".
Then, why does it not continue the numbering. Better that it does
not,
though.
Is this a bug?
Any suggestions would be appreciated. If this needs the attention of
tech
support for a possible fix, I would like to be directed as to how to
get
their attention for this matter.
Thanks in advance,
Joleen
