Dear Sharon,
An extension to a file is a set of characters which identify the file eddg. if the extension is doc, then the file is a Microsoft Word file. For this case, DO NOT use Directory because it will keep telling you that the file already exists. Use Rename File item from File Manager. Locate the file that you wish to rename and at the new name prompt, press Space with dots 4-6 (Could someone give us the QT command?) and put period then the extension you like (for example, if you are going to rename a file from txt to doc, at the new name prompt, press Space with dots 4-6, then period, then doc then enter).
HTH,
Joseph

Subject: re: [Braillenote] hidden files or
extensions

Hi Alex and List:
We haven't been able to make the change.
Also, can you change
from extensions to files? I pressed R to
restore from hidden, and
it went to one of my R files. Since I don't
understand
extensions, I'm lost.
Today is what the Lord has given us.
Be thankful, and keep smiling!!
