Richard,
Mine does the same thing. I have a PNY 2 GB USB Flash Drive and it recognizes immediately. It seems that the flash cards are the fastest, then USB hard drives, then Flash drives.

drives

Hi all,
Joseph, My mpower recognizes my sandisk
immediately when I plug
it in.
It says "Please wait." when I take it out and
a few seconds
later, it says that the hard disk is removed.
By the way, what goes faster on the bn, a
larg thumb drive or a
hard drive?
I wonder how fast a 60 gig hard drive would
go.
Would it be faster than the cards sd cf or
pcmcia?
Thanks for the help

Richard

Drewh,
It takes a while to recognize USB thumb
drives. Wait about a
minute, and it
will say "hard disk ready."

Dear list,
I put some MP3 tracks on a thumb drive to
listen to on my BN, but
when I
inserted the thumb drive the Bn didn't do
anything to let me know
it
recognized the drive. I when into the drive
list, and the thumb
drive was
not listed. However, when I took it out a
message came on the
Braille
display to please wait as it was processing
me taking out the
drive. I don't
know if there is something I need to do so
that the drive is
recognized, but
any help would be greatly appreciated.
