I have the same problem with my compact flash slot.  There seems 
to be a piece that is loose and sliding around in there.  I can 
move it over and then I can put the CF card in but this certainly 
is not right.  I have to call to get an RMA number either today 
or tomorrow so I can send it in.  I have a few things that need 
to be fixed anyway: the battery will not recalibrate, and my dot 
5 key sticks.  So off it goes.  I will be lost until my machine 
is back though.  Nancy
