The old charger, the one-piece, is a bit less stable on some batteries and takes a lot of space in an outlet. The two-piece is supposed to be more stable, charge more reliably and faster, and take up less room.

Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: [Braillenote] question about chargers for the mPowers

I'm using a VoiceNote mPower and got a charger that looked just
like the
one that came with my original VoiceNote when I upgraded to the
newer
mPower unit. I just purchased a second charger for it and got
one of the
two part charger units. I just wonder what the difference is and
why they
went from the original design to this two piece charger unit.
One part
has the plug that goes into the VoiceNote attached by wire to a
small
rectangular box and the other part is the wire that attaches to
the wall
plug and the rectangular charger box.
