Hi Alex, the two chargers are virtually identical in practice. The main advantage of the new charger is that it can use any mains voltage from 100V to 240V.
The mPower regulates the charging of the battery so it's unlikely you will get a faster charge with a new charger, or a slower charge with the old charger.
