That is probably the problem.

Do you think that a pocket word document would work? I can save it to a .pwd or .psw?

If so, which would be better?

Thanks,

Diane,
What is the Word version that was used to create the document in question?
There is a known issue where documents that were composed using Word XP or
later will not open properly on the BN. If there is a setting where you can
save the doc using Word 2000 format, use it, as it ensures that all
unnecessary format markers are removed.

Subject: [Braillenote] MSWord document not recognised

BNQT 7.2 build 47
MSWord file recognized fine on computer.
Message on BN:
"This is not a recognised Microsoft word document"

Resetting does not help.
Deleting this set of files from the CF card on the PC, and copying them back
to the card from the original files, still gives the same message.

The only way I can read these documents is to save each one as a .txt file.

These are word files I received from a textbook publisher.

I would at least like to know what could be causing this problem from within
the files.

Thanks,
Diane Bomar
