Here is how to access network resources on the BN (KS 6.11 or
later):
1. Select the "network" option from the drive list, assuming you
are connected to a network.
2. The BN will prompt, "network place?" Select the "browse entire
network" option from the list, or select a previously stored
network place (though they seem to not always work).
3. The BN will ask for a "network server?" Enter the name of the
computer you are trying to access folowed by a backslash, or at
least the \ is required in my case.
4. The BN will ask for a network folder if it finds that computer
or network drive on the network; select the folder like normal
excepting that directory mode will not work here.
5. When you select a folder, the BN will prompt you for a network
place name. Enter one, such as "Shared Docs on my computer" and
it will be added to the list in step 2.
6. If you get the message, "cannot find the network resource",
reenter your target computer's name (trying caps and such). If it
still does not work, try firewall and other access-blocking
software settings on the computer's end.
If you are still having trouble, look at section "13.13 Accessing
the Network through your BN" in the manual. Good luck, and don't
get frustrated! Networks can be extremely picky, and then work
flawlessly for no reason.
Have a great day,
Alex
