For some reason you are getting into the update menu, not the update itself. Check that you are, in fact, holding down dots 4 and 5 (J and K on QT), and not dots 4 and 6 (J and L on QT). If you need to start the update and you continue to get to the update menu, press dot 1 on BT, the number 1 on QT, and it should start.
