OK - this is quite serious.  I think your unit will most likely have to go back 
for servicing anyway, so I would try to run the 
battery down, then recharge and see if that fixes anything.  It may not - the 
battery may have gone so low that it cannot respond to 
anything whatsoever; usually the Braille display will turn off when the battery 
goes low, but there is a remote chance that it 
won't.

1.  Leave the BrailleNote with no power source for a day or so.  If possible, 
plug in as many high-current accessories as possible - 
it will probably make no difference, but is worth a go.

2.  Plug the BN back in for a day or so and remove all accessories.

3.  Reset and see if it works.
