Another way, unless I'm missing something here, is to get in the file list, either through the word processor or the file menu, and find the particular file associated with the database. You can do the info command to get the number of records--for examples, using the PK and pressing space with i on the flash disk/keylist/address list file gives the number of records, as does pressing space with i at the flash disk/keybase/CD catalog file.
