However, the Daisy files found on Bookshare are always just text. There is no audio. Bookshare files are not always formatted well, which means that navigation by specific increments may be problematic. The most overwhelming issue to consider in my opinion is this: The Braillenote mPower is just about as like to load your Daisy book as it is to crash.

A .brf file is just a flat file with a translation of text into Braille. It has no recorded audio although some Braille notetakers such as the BrailleNote can successfully read it aloud with synthesized speech. Hope this explains the advantages of a DAISY file.
