Hi Terry,
The fact is that you can create a second address list. If you
want all the fields to be the same, you just have to make a copy
of the "address list" file and give it a different name. If you
want to change the fields or delete some, it is a little tedious
but once done it works very well.
From the File Manager Menu, copy "Address List" to a different
file name in the keylist folder. If you want to change some of
the fields, you might first put it into the general folder and
open it in Keyword. Delete the lines that you do not want or
edit the names of the fields.
Each line must have its own number at the beginning and there are
a few rules about working with such a file. I have a list of
instructions if you want them, or there is also some information
in the manual about editing the "Address List" When you have the
newly created file in the keylist folder, you can choose it by
going to the Keylist menu and choosing S and then S again to
select address list file. You can use either file to send
e-mails if you choose the default file first.

Not a bad idea Michele, but I think a second address book would
also be
very helpful. One for personal use and one for staff imfo.
Right now I
put my personal address book on the M-power and my staff
reference cards
are in Braille. I guess both of our ideas could be done with a
data
base, but that is so complicated.

Subject: [Braillenote] Creating Second Appointment Book
Hi BN users!
Do you know if it's
possible to create a
second appointment
book, say for work,
and one for private
with the BN? I were
wondering because I
thought it would
make things easier
if I got a job where
I needed to keep
track of
appointments for
others, epreate
another appointment
book with the BN,
instead of using the
one in Outlook which
can be quite tricky.
If I used my own BN,
it would not be as
costly for those who
would be supplying
the technical
support I needed.
Do other people use
these BRAILLENotes
for work,
particularly
reception work and
if so, how do they
make best use of
them? I have already
considered using the
BN as a Braille
display to save
costs, since I much
prefer Braille to
speech output,
though I know I
would still probably
need Jaws.
Thanks for any
feedback.
Michele
