Try a 4-5-6 reset with the drive plugged in. That normally does something to the drivers and you may then find your device works, though you will probably not see a "hard disk ready" message; just check in a drive list. I have never had data lost by doing this, but of course there is always that remote chance. I doubt you will have any trouble like that, but you may want to back up any important files just in case. my simtech 40gb external USB hard drive is never recognised with
the bn. It tends to say please wait but doesn't do anytrhing for any amount of time. I can feel the little motor in the drive running, so I know its getting power. Any ideas?
