Sharhonda and list,
I have "eal comments regarding using your BN
as a braille display with JAWS. This post
might answer several questions that Sharhonda
brought up:
First of all, you'll need to tell JAWS setup
that it should install BrailleNote as a
braille display. Sharhonda, you do not need
to uninstall JAWS 7.0. There is a defect
with JAWS 8.0 that some displays won't work
properly under this version. If you are
going to use serial cable, then use com1. If
you are going to use Bluetooth, use whatever
com port is availible e.g. com3.
Before using your braille display, you'll
need to shut down JAWS, start Braille
Terminal from BrailleNote's end, select the
correct connection (serial or Bluetooth), and
restart JAWS.
Perhaps one day I'll do a audio/text tutorial
on this matter.
HTH,
Joseph
