I, too, checked the CF card, and found no apparent installation software. I checked the Humanware Web site, and found no additional instructions or software associated with my serial number. If there is something additional to the installation instructions in braille that accompany the CF card, it should have been stated. Considering that it took two months to deliver the product after ordering it, I would have expected better customer service from Humanware. I am not yet regretting my decision against PacMate, but this dictionary experience has truly been annoying, and for no good reason that I can determine. Oh well, we'll all know by Monday, won't we, and if you need to download some special file to install the dictionary, I wish those on the list who have already bought and installed it would say so because there has been no indication from Humanware to that effect. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brian Lingard" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "'Braillenote List'" <[email protected]> Cc: "Graham Stoodley" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, January 14, 2007 3:14 AM Subject: My Experience Trying to Install the Concise Oxford Dictionary and Thesaurus Ottawa Canada Dear Graham and BrailleNote List: I too have found my Concise Oxford Dictionary will not install. I followed the installation instructions in Braille and found that when I went to list the install packages on the card, none were listed. This is true for the none directory, which is the root, The Oxford directory and The Oxford\US directory. So I too will be among the people phoning Tech Support in Concord, California first thing Monday morning to ask what I am doing wrong or if they forgot to put the install package on my CF card. Graham: Is this what happened when you tried to install the dictionary and thesaurus? Or did you have a more interesting experience? Brian who sure hopes if they forgot to put the files on his CF card it doesn't take six weeks to obtain a replacement card! -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
