Here's a scenario consider about: a
BrailleNote wrote a database using Grade 2
braille. He also wrote web address and email
address using Grade 2. He had exported this
database as a CSV file. He opened the CSV
file under Excel. And guess what appeared at
the web address and email field! A collection
of garbage that Excel couldn't interpret.
You'll need to use Computer braille in web
address and email fields. This is why the
option "Notify when Computer Braille is
Required" exists, in order for KeySoft to
notify you that a particular prompt requires
Computer Braille input (I've personally set
it to no). This Computer Braille code uses
Braille ASCII characters to type the
characters.
Email clients, browsers, and all computer
software uses computer braille for input.
These softwares does not recognize Grade 1 or
2 braille. It only recognizes text, not
braille. This is why you'll see Computer
Braille when reading email messages, while
browsing the web, and some documents. And
this is why you'll need to type computer
braille at the email and web address prompts.
