Rhonda, 
I believe your point is well taken.
I suppose people would like either a shorter start up sound or just that
they'd like one that was more pleasing to them.
Let us hope that those who try this are good enough use so that they
will not do any permanent harm.

I'm wondering why people want to do this.  If you have to put it 
back in each time you reset, what is the purpose?  What is 
actually wrong with the original startup sound?  I ask these 
questions, because if you get a lot of people messing around in 
there equipment, they may not know what they are doing.  
Information is good, but sometimes, I think we are leading people 
down a path that may wind up hurting their equipment.  That is my 
two cents, and I'll get flack for it, and hopefully, one cents 
change.
