Hi Rob:
This suggestion is made so that the document is properly saved. If you turn
the unit off while in the unit you will come back in the document as with a
bns, but you are taking a small risk that your file might get lost. In my
view it's a very small risk, I turn the unit off from within a document
often because I don't like to come up in the main menu and go through all
the stepps needed to open the file I was last working in. I like to live on
the edge though so don't follow my example unless you are willing to risk
losing the changes you made in your file.
Hope that helps.

Subject: [Braillenote] Main Menu before power off
I was curious about this. I looked at a powerpoint
presentation by Buffalo University about using the
BrailleNote, and they recommended you return to the
Main Menu BEFORE turning off the BrailleNote. I'm just
curious as to why that is. Also, if you do turn it off
while in, say, KeyWord, would the BrailleNote announce
"KeyWord - ABC Document" when you turn it back on?
