I've had something similar happen as well. if all else fails, a service reset, with the record button held down, always works for me. KD

Another thing you could try is exercising the Braille display. you go into the option menu, space with O or function with O. Then press space with I or read with I. This gets you into support information mode from there press X and your display will start moving. Do this for a little while, if there is something stopping the dot from moving it might dislodge.
