Rose,
The Emulator file is not needed when you are just going to read text on your
screen. However if you want to type on your BrailleNote with JAWS, you'll
need the file (the instructions are posted on the archive, so check out the
archive for more information).

If I am not planning to use a bluetooth, as it doesn't seem to work for me,
do I need those keyboard emulator files if I am planning to connect via a
cable with a serial end and a USB adapter?  

Just curious and figure I should ask before I go messing around with it.  I
have not had any luck getting those files where they need to go and then
getting bluetooth to work  but I do have a serial cable with a USB adapter.

Maybe Bluetooth is the wave of the future but it does not like me.
